A great program for a reasonable price for Iop in travis county
Like many people, being told you have to go to an IOP program for whatever reason is frustrating for most. Maybe insurance will cover it, maybe it won't. You spend a lot of time and energy finding the place that's monetarily feasible for you and an easy schedule. Changes counseling gives you both of those things and then some. They have a great location, friendly and a staff that you can relate to no matter what your situation. Sometimes in class we get caught up on a certain topic; which is great because it shows you that you're not the only one there. The last IOP program I went to (Oak Springs) was terrible. I wish I would've taken this class the first time instead of the other one that just wanted to keep me coming back because they made their money from the state. Most IOP's are in terrible locations, the staff is book smart but had no idea the struggles of addiction and overcoming addiction like the instructor here, James. I genuinely look forward to our hour of Aftercare on Sundays. The class is very simply set up with the hours and required AA meetings. There's always friendly faces and warm greetings coming through the door. They are one of maybe 2 or 3 classes in Austin that will take you with no insurance and work with you on payments (granted, you are being respectful of their time consideration as well). I like to think of going to this is just like going to an extra therapy session a week, but in a group. If you are indifferent about what class to take, I would recommend this one by far. Understanding, clean environment and they do generally care about your well-being. Unlike some classes, they don't show videos of body parts being scraped off the road or anything detrimental. You will not complete this class with out learning at least one tool you can take with you.
